Training as a Professional Accountant

Four well recognised professional bodies award professional accounting qualifications in Ireland. Their examination programmes, syllabi and training requirements vary significantly. You can find out more about each of these bodies through their websites:

Successful graduates from our B Comm (Accounting), Master of Accounting and general B.Comm graduates who have opted for the Accounting stream in their final year receive varying degrees of exemptions from the examinations of these professional bodies.  These exemptions are regularly renegotiated with the professional bodies.  Click here for current information on exemptions awarded for our degrees.
